Complimentary transportation to the course will be provided to patrons of Morongo Casino Resort & Spa. Morongo Tribal Chairman, Robert Martin, said the name was chosen because cougars have roamed the isolated foothills and mountains of the San Gorgonio Pass for centuries. The name, Tukwet, is the word for cougar in Cahuilla, the native language of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians and many other tribes in Southern California. The tribe acquired the golf course that formerly operated as East Valley Golf Club in October 2010. The Morongo Band of Mission Indians has given its 36-hole golf course amenity to Morongo Casino Resort & Spa a new name: The Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon. From special events, weddings, tournaments, memberships, bar & grill restaurant, and much more. Tukwet Canyon also hosts a public 36-hole, championship, daily fee facility located in beautiful Beaumont, California. Wake up with us to an early morning breakfast, a nice business luncheon, a quick bite to eat after your golf round enjoying our new happy hour, or enjoy an early dinner for two on Friday nights with live entertainment. Tukwet Canyon Bar & Grill is open to the public all year round.
